China Mobile Smart Computing Center (Wuhan) with a scale of 1000P has been established
1 On January 21, 2023, at the 2023 China 5G+ Industrial Internet Conference, China Mobile's ZhiSuan Center (Wuhan), initially planned with a capacity of 1000P, was officially launched.
The China Mobile ZhiSuan Center (Wuhan) project is one of the first batch of national ZhiSuan center nodes. Located in Wuhan Future Science and Technology City, Hubei Province, it is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2024. It will be based in Wuhan, serve the entire province, and radiate Central China, aiming to become the largest and highest-level ZhiSuan center in Central China.

China Mobile's ZhiSuan Center (Wuhan) is designed to the highest international T4 data center standards, using a digital full-optical OXC (optical cross-connect) interconnection architecture. It will create an ultra-low latency circle of "1-5-7-10" centered in Wuhan and accessible nationwide (1 millisecond within the city, 5 milliseconds within the province, 7 milliseconds in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and 10 milliseconds to the eight major national computing power hub centers). By building a diversified computing power system of "ZhiSuan + Supercomputing + Edge Computing," it will provide strong computing power for the innovation, upgrading, and high-quality development of the industrial internet.

According to Hubei Mobile, the China Mobile ZhiSuan Center (Wuhan) initially plans to build 1000 pFLOPS (1 quadrillion floating-point operations per second) of ZhiSuan capacity and a thousand-card AI training cluster. It will use A800, H800, and Shengteng 910 ZhiSuan servers, with full-optical lossless networking to achieve millisecond-level data transmission between computing and storage, meeting the needs of non-blocking large model training. It will adopt advanced energy-saving and carbon-reduction technologies of "air cooling + liquid cooling," with a 99.999% continuous power supply capacity to ensure the performance and user experience of ZhiSuan services nationwide.
According to Yang Jie, chairman of China Mobile, China Mobile is building an "N+X" ZhiSuan center to inject a powerful "computing power engine" into the development of industrial enterprises. It is accelerating the construction of N national and regional ZhiSuan centers and X localized and customized edge ZhiSuan nodes, building ultra-large-scale single ZhiSuan centers, promoting the deep and widespread application of green electricity and energy-saving technologies, and continuously improving the efficiency and green transformation effectiveness of computing resource utilization.
