With a total investment of 11.907 billion yuan! CICC Data has been approved for an integrated source-network-load-storage project in the Inner Mongolia data center industry

Recently, Zhongjin Data Group received approval from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Energy Bureau to construct and operate the Zhongjin Data Low-Carbon Computing Power Base Source-Network-Load-Storage Integration Project in Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia. This project is the first source-network-load-storage integration project in the data center industry approved by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

It is understood that the Zhongjin Data Ulanqab Zero-Carbon Computing Power Industrial Park is divided into two phases: the Zero-Carbon Computing Power Base and the Beijing-Inner Mongolia Cooperation Digital Computing Power Industrial Park. The total investment is 11.907 billion yuan, with a total planned area of 1092 mu of high-quality information park, creating a leading demonstration green park with PUE 1.147 and WUE 0.97. At the same time, based on the information park as a stable energy consumption base, the first batch of green zero-carbon parks in China with integrated source-network-load-storage operation will be built. From improving power usage efficiency (PUE) to carbon usage efficiency (CUE), the source-network-load-storage integration project approved this time is an important measure for Zhongjin Data to implement the "3060" dual-carbon goals. On the one hand, through source, network, load, and storage, simultaneous planning, simultaneous construction, simultaneous commissioning, and unified operation are used to ensure the consumption of new energy and green energy for data centers; on the other hand, active distribution networks, high-efficiency data centers, and renewable energy utilization are used to achieve energy saving and emission reduction, and green development goals.

Currently, we have entered an important period where big data and green sustainable development are advancing hand in hand. Data centers are responsible for data storage and processing, and their high-quality linkage development with green energy is a key node in promoting the further upgrading of the big data industry. Source-network-load-storage is a new power operation mode with "power source, power grid, load, and energy storage" as the overall planning. It is an operation mode and technology that can maximize the utilization of energy resources. Through various interactive forms such as source complementation, source-grid coordination, grid-load interaction, grid-storage interaction, and source-load interaction, it can more economically, efficiently, and safely improve the power system's power dynamic balance capability, which is an important development path for building a new power system. Overall, the "source-network-load-storage integration" operation mode can fully exert the adjustment capabilities of the generation side and the load side, promote precise matching between supply and demand, ensure reliable power supply, and provide a solid foundation for the high-quality green development of the data center industry again.

In the future, the Zhongjin Data Ulanqab Zero-Carbon Computing Power Industrial Park will be built into an information infrastructure base with the best cost, zero-carbon traceability, intelligence, high computing power carrying capacity, and interconnection between Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Inner Mongolia. This project will serve as a carrier for green computing power to enter Beijing, helping Beijing-Ulanqab cooperation and jointly climbing the digital economy highland under the new situation; and under the grand narrative of the "3060" dual-carbon goals, contribute to the construction of a green China.
