8000 racks, Runze Technology's two intelligent computing centers in Chongqing commence construction

Runze (Southwest) International Information Port A-7, A-8 intelligent computing center groundbreaking ceremony

Runze (Southwest) International Information Port is located in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. It is a national benchmark project of Runze Technology's AIDC. The total investment of the project is 8.8 billion yuan, with a total planned area of 260,000 square meters. The construction includes 8 data centers/intelligent computing centers, with a total construction area of 256,000 square meters. The number of cabinets in a single data center is 4184, and the total number of cabinets in the project is more than 32,000.

Two of the data centers in the Information Port have been completed and are undergoing equipment debugging. It is planned to put 8000 racks into operation by the end of the month.

The A-7 and A-8 intelligent computing centers, which started construction this time, cover 64,000 square meters and approximately 8,000 racks. By 2026, after all eight data centers in the Information Port are completed and put into operation, the planned number of racks will be 32,000, providing safe, reliable, and efficient cloud computing and storage services for government, finance, Internet+, cloud computing, Internet of Things, and other high-end customers.

The Southwest Big Data Innovation Application Center, which was successfully topped out, is a supporting complex project of Runze (Southwest) International Information Port. With an investment of 1.2 billion yuan and covering an area of 146 mu, it mainly constructs an administrative center, a rapid response center, a new procurement center, and a life support service center, serving the digital technology industries such as supercomputing, cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence.

Reporters learned that in addition to the intelligent computing center, the supporting project of Runze (Southwest) International Information Port, the Southwest Big Data Innovation Application Center project, is also under construction. This complex project mainly constructs an administrative center, a rapid response center, a new procurement center, and a life support service center. The main structure of the project has been topped out and is expected to be completed in August 2024.
